Supporting Wellbeing at Work
Turning a technical survey into a calm, human‑centred digital experience.

Context and challenge
Commissioned by mTech+, Mentaal Krachtig is an interactive survey helping organisations in Belgium’s metal industry measure and improve wellbeing at work.
Managers complete the survey and receive tailored tips to foster healthier teams.
The design challenge was to transform a static questionnaire into an engaging, accessible experience — one that feels empathic rather than clinical.
It also needed to perform flawlessly and sustainably, with a low digital footprint.
The process
Tryangle led project management and content creation, and I brought MajorTom in for technical development.
My responsibility: create a seamless, mindful design that balances clarity with warmth.
I designed the entire UX/UI flow, crafted custom illustrations to add a human touch, and ensured that every screen was intuitive, fast, and visually calm.
The clean layout simplifies decision‑making; gentle colour contrasts and hand‑drawn visuals make the experience feel supportive rather than evaluative.
Sustainability remained key: the web app achieved an A+ rating on websitecarbon.com — proving that digital wellbeing and environmental wellbeing can coexist beautifully.
Guiding principles
Principle | How It Appeared |
|---|---|
Digital Sustainability | Efficient design and development yielding an A+ carbon score. |
Human Touch | Custom illustrations soften tone and promote empathy. |
Clarity & Calm | Minimal interface, clear navigation, and whitespace to reduce cognitive load. |
Outcome and impact
Deliverables included the full web‑app interface, survey UX design, and a coherent illustration style.
The result is a tool that makes data collection simple and emotionally balanced — helping organisations reflect on wellbeing through a positive lens.
The client praised both the aesthetic and user experience, noting the survey’s clarity and calming feel as major differentiators.

Personal reflection
Mentaal Krachtig reaffirmed for me that design is integral to mental wellbeing.
When digital tools look and feel peaceful, they invite trust and reflection instead of stress.
This project perfectly embodies my philosophy: create ethical, mindful experiences that care for people as much as they inform them.
